In last month’s newsletter, we presented a day-by-day synopses of our meetings with the government and religious leaders of the nation of Liberia. Due to the over 15 years of civil war and blood shed that has swept the land, the people of Liberia are looking for salvation from their desperate situation. Apostle/Prophet Hansen along with a team from World Ministries International (WMI) delivered a strong message of repentance and reconciliation to the nation and its leaders. The centrality of the message was simple: True salvation, true freedom, true prosperity (spiritually, emotionally and materially) only comes from the Lord Jesus Christ! We at WMI have been called to proclaim the Word of the Lord to the nations. Currently, we have a specific word of prophecy for 85 nations, and with our short-wave, radio and television programs, we reach the entire planet with the good news of Jesus Christ.

However, our goal is to build the Kingdom of God in every country, in every city, in every village, in every family and in every person that the Lord grants us access. The Lord has birthed within us the passionate desire to reach the people both with the prophetic word as well as in areas of practical needs, such as medical and dental clinics, daily supplies and necessities and much more. We endeavor to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God and reach out to the widow, the orphan, the fatherless and the destitute in their affliction.

In addition to a week of tremendous meetings with the top leaders of Liberia, we also had the opportunity to meet with key religious leaders in the nation of Ghana. Furthermore, on several occasions, we traveled to local orphanages to visit the children and to inquire of the Lord as to how we can help meet their basic needs. Under the leadership of Pastor Michael Hyodo, D.D.S., who is the department head of benevolence at WMI, we strategize on how we can share the love of Christ in practical ways as we move in and out of countries. As of this mailing, we have established 6 dental clinics throughout the world.

Within the pages of this newsletter, we desire to bring you to the nation of Ghana, in the hopes that you can gain a greater appreciation of the needs of the people and so that you can ascertain the strategy the Lord has for this nation. Great things are happening in Ghana and the Lord is uniting Church leadership to join together for the common cause of winning the nation to Jesus Christ. To win the nation, we must fight the good fight and must flow in a warring spirit, understanding that we “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6.12). It is for this reason that Jesus is raising up and sending his generals (apostles) to the nations. Dr. John Kelly, in his book titled Apostolic Ministry, has this to say about apostles and spiritual warfare: “The basic laws that govern spiritual warfare are unity and repentance among believers. Once unity and repentance are established in the body, there must be a vision for war. Only fools have a vision for victory without a vision for war. Joshua was given the Promised Land, but he had to go in and fight for it. We, likewise, must have a vision of the land and a vision for taking it through warfare. With the new Apostolic Reformation in our midst, there is change afoot to the ministers of God, and that is a warring spirit. We are beginning to understand that we must either go to war or concede land to the enemy.”

“A main function of the apostle is to take the church to war against the enemies of God. Consequently, we can be assured that there will never be any land that is conceded to the enemies of God nor will we shirk from the battle” pp.65-66.

Are you ready to go to war? As brother Kelly alluded to above, the land has been delegated and subdued by the Lord, but we must go in and fight for it. With the same assurance that Jesus rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God, we have the assurance of victory as we take up the Great Commission to go into all the world and make disciples...(Matthew 28.18-20).

Are you a soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ? From Satan’s perspective, if you are a member of the Body of Christ, washed in the blood of the lamb and filled with his Holy Spirit, then you are an enemy and considered a part of the Lord’s army. If a soldier fails to understand their identity, they quickly become entangled in worldly ventures and fail to discern the wiles and devices of the enemy. Consider the words of Paul to his son in the faith, Timothy: “Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules (2 Timothy 2.3-5). We must understand who we are in Christ Jesus! Often times the Church lives in what I call the “scarecrow mentality.” The crow swoops down to eat of the harvest, yet when he sees the scarecrow, because he is ignorant of the fact that the scarecrow is powerless to hurt him, he flies away and fails to get his fill. Likewise, the Church often times fails to understand that Jesus Christ has won the victory and we can be assured that we will succeed in battle. This assurance of victory is only for the child of God who has intimacy with Jesus through the Holy Spirit and who is determined to pick up his cross and follow Christ.

As builders of the Kingdom of God, we desire to possess the land of Ghana for Jesus Christ! In this last trip, we networked with a multitude of Church leaders and are strategizing on how we can together shake the country and see nation-wide revival of true Christianity. This is the Great Commission! As you read the testimonies throughout this newsletter and as you see the pictures, let the Holy Spirit speak to you on how you are to extend the Kingdom of God. Thank you for your obedience and faithfulness and may the Lord richly bless you.

In Ghana, we stayed with Pastors Daniel and Connie Ong. Connie is Apostle Hansen’s cousin and it was a wonderful experience for them to spend some time together and rejoice over what the Lord has done in each others’ ministry. In seven years, the Ong’s have started seven churches within Ghana.

Pictured above is Apostle Hansen with members from WMI as well as pastors and helpers from one of brother Ong’s churches, the Dome church. This building was just recently purchased and was in the middle of renovation as we toured it this day. Within just a few days they had totally transformed the building into a beautiful sanctuary where they held their first church meeting. Apostle Hansen had the honor of preaching at this service. During the service, he spoke prophetically concerning the future of this church, noting that it is only in a “Genesis” phase and the Lord had much in store for this body of believers. He also spoke prophetically regarding areas of expansion, including a Bible school with many classrooms. It was a very joyful service; not only in having a new sanctuary, but having the honor to worship and celebrate our Lord together with these precious brothers and sisters. To the right is a picture of Reverend Hansen with Pastor Raymond, who is the senior pastor of the Dome Church. During our visit with Pastor Raymond, he asked Apostle Hansen if he remembered him. It turns out that Pastor Raymond was in a service conducted by Rev. Hansen in the nation of Japan in 1997. It was a sweet time of remembrance and reuniting for both of them and we marveled at how the Lord brings us together despite living far apart.

We look forward to working with Pastor Ong, Connie and their pastors and leaders in the future. They received us so well and we were truly blessed by their generosity and servanthood. We pray that the Lord would bless them and expand their “borders” in every way.

Below is a picture of Reverend Hansen (left forefront) and Pastor Ong (right) as they are interviewed by Brother Andy Glover of Sunny FM, located in Accra, Ghana. This was a tremendous interview where Apostle Hansen spoke concerning the prophecy to the nation of Ghana.

In the picture above, Apostle Hansen is sitting with leaders of a Prophets and Pastors convention in Accra, Ghana. To Reverend Hansen’s right is Prophet Christopher Annon, who was the host of the convention. To Brother Hansen’s left is Jimmy and Bart Brookins, a father and son ministry team from America. This convention lasted four days and was filled with jubilant worship and powerful messages meant to encourage, exhort and develop pastors and prophets in the surrounding areas.

As Apostle Hansen was introduced and welcomed to the platform, he felt that too much attention was being directed towards man. Therefore, he encouraged those in attendance (around 1200 people) to give a hand clap to the Lord. What followed was truly amazing! The masses clapped and praised the Lord for nearly thirty minutes, calling upon his name and ushering in the presence of God. During this time, several people shrieked and demonically manifested as the Spirit of God was ministering. We were informed later that several people were instantly healed during this portion of the service. There is nothing like the power and reality of Jesus Christ!

The center picture, shows Apostle/Prophet Hansen at the conclusion of the convention, sitting with some local leaders. Dr. Jimmy Brookins had led in the ordination of nearly 40 pastors. As each of the newly ordained pastors came forth, Reverend Hansen laid hands on them and anointed them with oil praying specifically over their lives and future ministries.

Near the end of our trip to Africa, we had the opportunity to spend several days in the town of Kumasi, Ghana. Reverend Hansen was able to reunite with an old friend, Pastor Ransford Obeng, who is pictured above (to Apostle Hansen’s left). Brother Obeng is the pastor of Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in the town of Kumasi, where he has raised up over 30 churches in the last 25 years. Pastor Obeng’s church was alive as it constantly had something going on regardless of the day of the week. It was refreshing to see a church body who centered their lives around the local fellowship and came together throughout the week to celebrate their Jesus.

Apostle/Prophet Hansen preached in back-to-back services over the weekend where he spoke concerning the prophecy to Ghana and the need to network together for the common purpose of winning the land. The picture below shows Reverend Hansen, Pastor EJ Buckardt and Dr. Audre DaCosta worshipping the Lord during one of CCC’s services. The Lord was strengthening our relationship with Pastor Obeng and we look forward to working with him and his people in the near future. I will now turn over the writing to our Benevolence Department Head, Dr. Michael Hyodo, and he will share concerning the needs of the people throughout the nation. I pray that you allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you regarding the part He may have you play in order to bring hope, blessings and daily necessities to the nation of Ghana.

Blessings, Pastor Ty Gulstrom

Like the nation of Ghana, this boy at the Kinder Paradise orphanage in Accra has many challenges to overcome. His past has been marred by violence and abuse from his own parents, who should have protected and taken care of him. Now crippled and orphaned, he still has hope, living at Kinder Paradise, that perhaps a better future awaits him. Yet the director of the orphanage, Silke, challenged him to forgive those who have hurt him and trust in Jesus for a hope and a future. Ghana, likewise, has seen some destruction in its past, yet it still has hope as one of West Africa’s most stable nations. But more destruction is coming if they do not put down their pride and self-reliance, and learn to forgive, to trust, and receive spiritual healing in Jesus Christ.

Our hearts were broken as we held babies, hugged children, and heard many stories of their suffering. Many of the children suffered abandonment, abuse, and rape. And all of these children do not have parents. One couldn’t help but want to bring these children home with us to nurture and love. Who will help these children?

The injustice seen all around us reminded us why we go to the nations, addressing leadership to repent of sin. The consequences of sin in leadership are the root causes of poverty and affliction to the most innocent of people in a nation: babies, children, the elderly, the disabled and widows.

In Exodus 22:22-24 the Word of God so clearly reveals the laws of human relations that are broken by man: Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry. And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. Visiting another orphanage in Accra called Agape Children’s Home, we found more faces and more stories. Seeing the plight of the people firsthand is why World Ministries International is committed to helping the orphan and widow. We go into nations proclaiming the prophetic Word of God to political and church leadership and we back it up with acts of kindness and service through our benevolence ministry. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not only hearing the Word and preaching the Word, but also doing the Word of God.

Agape Children’s Home

Please help us to help others. Join with us and our benevolence ministry to give to the orphans. James 1:27: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

You may not be able to always visit orphans, such as in these pictures of children at the Kinder Paradise orphanage, or even go to third world nations, but you can pray and give to ministries that are. We need your help. Please consider supporting World Ministries International with your very best love offering or regular support.

With your support we can continue to give relief aid to orphanages and to the poor with bibles, food, clothes, toys, wood, livestock, diapers, toothbrushes, as well as building medical and dental clinics, orphanages, and bible schools. Help us to sow into communities by giving to their immediate needs to feed them for today; to their intermediate needs by building health care facilities; and to their eternal needs by bringing the word of God and salvation for their eternal souls.

In addition to visiting orphanages, we had the privilege of seeing many other children such as these beautiful children in a village near Accra.

Pictured below, Pastor Ben Entry has a burden for the people of his community in a small, poor village where they have no running water or electricity.

His desire is to provide the people of this community with the Word of God, health access, and education. He has started a new church and school and hopes to one day have a health care facility to give the people a chance to get medical care.

Recently, he held a funeral service for a person in his congregation who died of malaria. Malaria is a killer disease that afflicts many of the people in this community. Pastor Ben is trying to raise funds to support the people in his church in any way that he can. At this time they are trying to grow some pineapples in a field which is behind their church to raise money in order to feed and provide for church members and others in their area. He is trying to bring health and wellness into his community and giving to the needs of the people the best that he can.

As we drove around the city there was the constant reminder of poverty and hopelessness everywhere. This lady pictured above, like many we saw, was lying in the middle of the street with cars racing by her on both sides. Beggars are at every street corner.

Outside of our car as we waited at a signal light this lady below and her baby were one of the few who received a little juice and a packet of cookies and crackers that we had to give to her. This disabled man below also received the same as we even prayed to God to show us who He wanted us to give to because we didn’t have enough to share with most of those we saw.

As we looked out and saw the great need of so many people, we just wanted to give and provide so much more than what we had because compassion welled up in our hearts and we knew that as we gave drink and food that in Matthew 25:40 …verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

In many of these poverty-stricken areas we found there to be several muslim mosques around. We are in a battle. It is the light of Christ against the wiles of antichrist. Poverty is not a holy thing. The enemy is seeking those who he can devour. When another spirit takes over an area, there can be seen evidence all around.

Help us to bring the light of Christ and tangible aid to these areas. This ministry is totally missions based where 95% of every dollar goes to missions, since most of us, like myself, are volunteers. Please help us to give to others. When we see the reality of those who have so little, we go back home trying to exhort our friends, family, work mates, and other Christians or acquaintances to give to such a good and needy cause. Basic services such as garbage pick-up, clean water, and toilet facilities are not available to all citizens. Many throw their trash out in the streets and waterways (next page top left). We have seen many street children that are also “tossed out” by society without a place to go. Help us to help them. The health conditions are poor, such as this open-air butcher shop pictured below.

One of the bright spots we witnessed in Ghana was a ministry called Beautiful Gate Centre, which is run by Benjamin Kotey of Global Touch Ministries.

This ministry reaches street children and disabled young people, getting them saved and training them with marketable skills. Pictured here are some boys who are being trained to build and make new shoes and sandals. It is one of the too few ways that some Christians are making a difference and changing the destinies of children who have no hope. Again, please, we ask that you consider helping us to help the poor. Search your heart and obey what the Holy Spirit is speaking to you right now. We all want to have God’s blessing, but we forget to meet His conditions.

Many of you are enduring trials of your own. It may seem logical to wait until it is over, and then to give and support this ministry and the Kingdom of God with your time and finances. Some of you are fasting and asking the Lord to bless you. Yet in Isaiah 58:6-7 the true “religious” life is more than fasting and prayer: Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

God is saying that it is not enough to only pray and fast, but that change is also necessary, and when the heart changes, your actions will also. It is then that you will go ye therefore, visit the nations, set free those in bondage, give to the hungry, and bring help to the poor.

In the parable of the good Samaritan, Jesus told the lawyer twice to go and do, and thou shalt live. Faith is action; go and do. Call right now to support our efforts at (360) 629-5248. God bless you.

Pastor Dr. Michael Hyodo

Within the pages of the last two newsletters, you have seen the conditions, the needs and the opportunities in the nations of Liberia and Ghana. As we flew from Liberia to Ghana, we had a brief layover at the airport in Sierra Leone. We took this time to come together as a team and pray for this nation, that the Lord would send us quickly as we have a word for this nation, which, like Liberia, has been in and out of civil war for many years. Arrangements are currently being made for Apostle Hansen to meet with the President of Ghana and other political leaders. Nations have a destiny and timing is so very crucial! Remember Egypt when it was confronted with the Word of the Lord under Moses. Pharaoh was given a certain allotment of time and grace to heed the Word before destruction came to the nation.

The timing for the nations of Liberia, Ghana and Sierra Leone is NOW! We need your help. In Liberia , it will cost $120,000 dollars to hold a 3-day national repentance crusade. Additionally, we desperately want to organize and mobilize medical and dental teams who can bring resources, love and the good news of Jesus Christ to a people who have been hurting for so long. We have presented to you the burden of the Holy Spirit, these countries, and their peoples. You have seen the pictures of the children and heard many of their testimonies. We can bring smiles for eternity to these children. For the sake of the children and people of West Africa, please partner with us . Included in this mailing, you will find a love offering envelope. Make your check out to “WMI-Africa” and together we will bring hope to the nations.

The Lord richly bless you. Pastor Ty Gulstrom.

Brothers and sisters, when you look around at what is going on in the world today do you ask, “How can I make a difference?” You can be a light and speak truth to the people around you, but what can you do on a larger scale? Laws have been passed at alarming rates that tear down the sanctity of human life and marriage and leave God, or at least the one true and living God, Jesus, out of the picture. He has been pushed to the side as men worship other gods, idols or in most cases themselves. Look throughout the Bible and see what happens when nations and individuals do this. Yes, the judgment of God is poured out upon them.

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7) God has and is revealing His plans to Apostle/Prophet Hansen, because he has been faithful to speak the truth that brings people to repentance and back into alignment with the Bible. Whether via radio, television or in person speaking face-to-face, God has continually placed Prophet Hansen before heads of nations, and heads of the church within the nations. You can help us to get the truth out by supporting us financially, but we must also have your prayers.God wants His Word to be spoken. Will you help us? These are the last days, judgment is coming. Will you help us to warn the people?

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12) Jesus did His part. His sacrifice was so great that it gave us authority over the enemy. Call our office @ 360-629-5248, become a part of the tape of the month partnership program and our intercessory prayer team. Enlist in the Army of the Lord, join the “Soldiers of the Cross.”

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. (Ezekiel 22:30) Will you stand in the gap for this ministry, this nation and the nations of the world? Will you become a SOLDIER OF THE CROSS?

Love, Melinda Roberts
