Herbert Schlossberg writes: “The Biblical explanation of the end of societies uses the concept of judgment. It depicts them as either having submitted to God or having rebelled against Him. Far from being a typical nationalistic exaltation of a ‘chosen people’ , the Old Testament portrays Israel as having become an evil nation, fully deserving the judgment that God meted to it. Its rebellion against God was accompanied by a turning to idols, and this idolatry brought the nation to its end. ‘With their silver and gold,’ said the prophet Hosea, ‘they made idols for their own destruction’ (Hosea 8:4 RSV). Idolatry, in its larger meaning, is properly understood as any substitution of the created for the creator. People may worship nature, money, mankind, power, history, or social and political systems instead of the God who created them all.” Idols for Destruction, Thomas Nelson, 1983, Pg.6.

John O. Anderson writes: “Hosea lived in an idolatrous, immoral and murderous generation...What happened to the Israelites to bring them so far from their covenant relationship with God? They became victims of the culture around them, gradually seduced by pagan worship. This was due in large part to the fact that there were distinct similarities between the pagan rites and Israel’s worship.” Cry of the Innocents, Pg. 39,41.

People of America and people attending churches--BEWARE! Unless the majority of Americans turn from the ways of IDOLATRY--IMMORALITY--MURDER, etc., the United States of America will continue to be judged by God and will be shattered. Scripture warns, “when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously...though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.” (Ezekiel 14: 13,14)

The book of Hosea describes America perfectly in the respect that America is guilty of the same crimes; thus, the same punishment of the nation of Israel. The Prophet Hosea was an end time prophet of his day and continued to call the people to repent or face the impending judgment which God always predicts for certain sins of a nation. AMERICANS are just as guilty of idolatry, immorality and murder, as were the Israelites. Whether the idolatry be Baalism or humanism, it is still founded on the rejection of God and reliance on self (pride). The Israelites had turned from the only God to Canaan’s polytheism, thus putting their own choice over God’s. Americans today have chosen secular humanism or other religions and philosophies over Jesus Christ. The United Nations, backed by The United States, is developing laws classified as hate crimes against people who insist that Jesus Christ is the living God and all others are false. Fundamental Christians who call abortion murder and homosexuality a sin will also be guilty of hate crimes. The book of Hosea shows us explicitly the love of God by Hosea and the sin of rebellion by Hosea’s prostituting wife, Gomer. Hosea had unconditional love and grace, as does God. However, as with God, grace and mercy has a season and comes to an end, resulting in judgment. Rebellion manifests itself in immorality (fornication, adultery, homosexuality, incest, sodomy, rape, beastiality, pornography, prostitution). Rebellion also shows itself in murder. Murder starts with pride, selfishness and insensitivity. Where love protects and serves others, insensitivity to the needs of others results in unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, gossip, slander, division, cliques, violence and the like, thus destroying the creation of God. Idolatry, immorality, and the murder of the innocents, as described throughout Hosea and Psalms 106: 34-40, always brings destruction, disease and death. The murder of the innocents was one of the major indictments against Israel by the Lord which, unless repented of, would bring certain judgment upon the nation. Immorality destroys the life already living. Whereas man was created with free choice, within the confines of marriage, to reproduce himself (animal has no choice as it is governed by instinct). Immorality, which is lust (rebellion/pride), goes against that free choice to create life. Instead, it destroys the moral conscious which is life itself for a nation. Consequently, the nation turns backward toward a beast’s mentality of serving and pleasing itself, thus the rule of the jungle where only the strong survive. God now has no choice but to bring judgement so another world can live in peace under the rules of God once again. In Israel it became legal to kill babies by offering them to Baal or El or Molech. The mothers wanted to please themselves through this sort of idolatry, thus committing murder of their infants. The mothers again would now go to the male prostitutes immediately after giving her baby to the priest to be killed where she would try and bury her emotions and conscience under a torrent of sexual activities. So it is in America, where we kill the most innocent of the innocents by a law called abortion. Again, mothers wanting to selfishly please themselves, kill their babies by offering them to the doctors who destroy them. Here the mother again chooses idolatry, putting herself above God and her baby, to continue in lust without concern over destroying life in the process.

But I will bring you down. Like the wind brings down the tree, so I will bring you down. You will not escape My wrath for it is an expression of My love, My deep love that will do all it can to get your attention, before My eternal wrath to remove all those who do not and will not love thy neighbor, will fall.

Some say, many say, 'Oh, we will escape. It will not happen to us. For we are Your elect. We are God’s chosen'. But I say, you have blinded yourselves with your own vanity. My elect are not the people, the church in America, but My elect are the people of the world that are called by My name and do My will on earth as it is done in heaven. Not people with a false tongue of divination of the heart, but of divination of My will.

For you are a thankless, godless, amoral generation that has been raised by the philosophies of the heathen, and I will challenge your philosophies till you hate Me and My people. My people will not escape your wrath...the wrath of the world as some falsely teach...for only the world’s wrath will open their eyes clearly to what I am saying so they are prepared to meet Me.

I am coming quickly for a people, a church without spot or wrinkle. A blood washed, blood soaked people who are really called Christian; not the hypocritical, self-righteous, self-taught, self-educated fool who propitiates his own dogma today.

I will tear down the haughty; the mighty religious leader in My kingdom, in My church who has deceived My people with your ever babbling rhetoric that has filled the pulpits across America. Instead of My church being one, you have become institutionalized where My true servants are not even welcomed because you are protecting your own man-made philosophies and your own selfish interests. You think the people are yours, but I tell you, they are Mine and your man-made, denominational institutions will fail, for I am shaking and calling the very elect.

Awake, Oh Jerusalem, for the King of glory is about to appear. And, only the true elect, the glorified elect, will live in that new Jerusalem that I am preparing.

America, your religious leaders are vain and corrupt; your Church leaders are vain and corrupt; your political leaders are vain and corrupt; your relatives are vain and corrupt; your neighbors are vain and corrupt. A generation of heathen, those that appear to many as the elect, My chosen; yet, I have not accepted them because I can see their heart. They are imitations of the genuine; a diamond in the rough.

But don't give up. For I will wash you and prepare you through the fire of My love; not the world’s wrath, but My love. As a father chastens his children, so I will chasten you and tear down your sand castles, your illusions of grandeur, until you can see the kingdom again.

On December 24, 1995 at 0541 hours, Rev. Jonathan Hansen received this prophecy primarily for the people who call themselves “born again.” The Lord is saying that He will exhort the American people to look to Him. He will cause an incident to happen in America so great so as to get their attention. This could possibly be through the weather, food, disease, economy (although it would have to be a much greater degree than we have yet experienced), or nuclear war at a national level.

God is saying that the people of America are guilty of intense pride; intense self-exaltation and self satisfaction. In all areas of life in America, including the Church, most of the people are filled with pleasing themselves. The leaders in America, even in the Church for the most part, are filled with self glorification and self-attainment. Many of their leaders not only have a gluttonous appetite for glory and “the things of the world”, but some are guilty of immorality and amorality. Many Church leaders do not know right from wrong any longer.

Many are guilty of lying, cheating, fornication and adultery. Because so many of the pastors have become amoral and are no longer either capable or bold enough to counsel truth, the American people are turned over to the philosophies of evil men and satanic spirits. The psychic, the philosopher, the professor, and even eastern religions take the place of the truth of Jesus Christ that should be taught fundamentally; doctrinally sound and without error. But the message is not popular with people of America, nor with many deceived pastors within the “church”. So, the people of America turn to the lies of the cult and occult because a true servant of the Lord is not popular, even within his own denomination. They “dance to the fiddle” of the majority who are intrigued by the psychic’s predictions, but are deaf to the words and warnings of a true prophet. Thus the people of America and members of the church are conned by false doctrine. They are unable to scripturally and spiritually deal with the deceptions, lies, lusts, lifestyles, values, behaviors, sins and spirits that are in our society and church.

God is saying that He will bring down (humble, shame) the American people, including many church leaders. Many people in America and members of churches feel immune from the catastrophes that have struck other countries such as war, famine, disease, persecution, et cetera. But, God is warning that the people, both in society and the Church, will not escape His dealings with them. There are hard times ahead for both the Church and people of America. Great trouble, plagues, and persecution lie ahead. This is needed out of God’s deep eternal love to give every opportunity for people to repent and prepare themselves for the coming of the Lord. When there is a lack of righteousness and holiness in peoples’ lives, they compromise. They are afraid to speak the truth to others. They lie and give excuses for their unfaithfulness by saying they do not want to hurt people’s feelings. You can say it another way, but the truth is their own relationship with God is lacking. In reality, they do not have the spiritual strength to obey the Spirit. Nor are they led by the Spirit, but by their own understanding, mentality, and flesh. They find it difficult to give godly counsel because, according to His Word, they do not have an intimate relationship with the Author of Truth. Thus, they do not know what the truth is, or if they do, they do not have the spirit (strength) to do or say what He asks of them.

The majority of the Church in America lacks holiness and righteousness. God must and will prepare them for His return. For He will not allow His new Jerusalem to be polluted, corrupt, diseased, poverty stricken, ruled by the vain, immoral or amoral again. Before His final judgment, when people are sentenced to eternal separation or eternal life with Him in the new Jerusalem, Jesus will give more opportunity for a change of heart. The American “born again Christian” will be chastened by the Lord and tried by fire. God will force events to deal with their spiritually weak condition until the American Christian (true believer) will look to the Lord for their strength and call upon the Lord earnestly, not out of some mythical explanation or prayer. Through the changing events and new laws in society, the American believer will be forced of God to take a stand on spiritual and moral truths until they are hated and persecuted by society. The American Christian will not escape having to take his stand and position in the Lord!

Wrong doctrine taught by denominations and pastors will be exposed by time itself, the Holy Spirit, and the Scriptures, which will finally be studied studiously by the elect instead of just accepted from the pulpit. Many large churches, denominations, church leaders and pastors will fall. They will be rejected, both by society and the believer, for their vain lifestyle and teaching of God’s Word. Eventually, all Godly organized Churches and ministries will be shut down as persecution of the true believer takes its full course. As believers have suffered in many countries throughout the world for their faith, so many will now suffer in America.

The Lord Jesus is warning the American Christians that He is preparing to return to earth. Before He returns, He will give more opportunities for both the unbeliever and the believer to prepare for His coming. Great trouble will fall on America, along with a major Crisis that will change the American lifestyle. He warns that the born again believer will also be challenged by the Lord through the change of events in American lifestyle, calamities and persecution. But, through it all, the true Church will become holy without spot or wrinkle and learn to trust in Jesus.

II Chronicles 7:14... If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Romans 3:23; 6:23 tells us that every person is guilty of sin and death. The Bible says that the angel of death, as in Egypt, will one day come knocking at our heart’s door. Hebrews 2:14-15 says that man is afraid of death. Man is also afraid of God because man knows intuitively that he deserves the judgment of God for his sins. To avoid thinking of this fear of death and God, man tries to keep himself very busy in a numbing fashion with religion, money, business, power, sex, alcohol, sports, etc. Isaiah tells us “there is no peace for the wicked.” Jesus Christ, who is our Lamb, provided His blood for us to put on the doorpost of our heart; thus, allowing a way to escape eternal death because of His death and resurrection (1 John 1:7; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57). There is no reason now to fear death, for Jesus became our substitutionary sacrifice so eternal death will “pass over” all who believe in and follow the Messiah. Now we can have peace with God as we apply the Passover (Jesus) in our lives and honor the Unleavened Bread (remove sin from our lives) (Ephesians 4:22).
