Deuteronomy 11:13-28: "13) And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14) That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. 15) And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. 16) Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; 17) And then the LORD’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you. 18) Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. 19) And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20) And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: 21) That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. 22) For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; 23) Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. 24) Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. 25) There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you. 26) Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27) A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: 28) And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known."

Since the beginning of relationships and authority in the garden of Eden, there has always been a power struggle (Genesis 3:5). Eve chose not to submit to Adam or to God. Instead, she listened to the serpent and ate the forbidden fruit in an attempt to be as a god with the power to lead herself. God chose initially to lead Adam and Eve, but Eve listened to Satan and led herself, eating the forbidden fruit and inviting Adam to also disobey righteous authority. Throughout history man has chosen to listen to Satan, who the Bible calls "the god and prince of this world", and elect his own leaders. But, as my 14-part series titled "The Science of Judgment" explains, if leadership does not follow the laws of God, repercussions follow automatically. Nations rise and nations fall--not because of God's choice, but because of the "full cup of iniquity" principle. (Rev. 18:4-8; Matt. 23:34-38)

Leviticus 26:14-33: 14) But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; 15) And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: 16) I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17) And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. 18) And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. 19) And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: 20) And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. 21) And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. 22) I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate. 23) And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; 24) Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25) And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. 26) And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied. 27) And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28) Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29)And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. 30) And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. 31) And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. 32) And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. 33) And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste."

There are qualifications for godly leadership: 1 Timothy 3:1-7: "1) This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4) One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5) For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God? 6) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7) Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil."

Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United States stated: “To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

The Bible is filled with examples of godly men and women who did more than just pray for their leaders; they confronted kings of nations over their sins. Moses confronted Pharaoh, Samuel confronted King Saul, Nathan confronted King David, Jeremiah confronted King Zedekiah, Elijah confronted King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, John the Baptist confronted King Herod, Nehemiah confronted King Artaxerxes, Esther confronted King Ahasuerus, Paul confronted Peter, and the examples go on.

It is very clear that God did not put Kings, Dictators, or Presidents in office today. Instead, citizens have elected them, or they have had these tyrants forced upon them. God also has not joined most married couples, but these couples usually got married by their own choice and free will, sometimes going directly against the clear admonitions of the Bible, godly parents, and others in godly authority. Now these couples are either miserable living together, abused, or divorced.

Zechariah 14:1-4 very clearly tells us that Jesus will put an end to the ungodly ruling over nations during the battle of Armageddon: "1) Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2) For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3) Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4) And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."

Revelation 19:11-21 states: "11) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12) His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14) And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15) And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16) And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17) And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18) That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21) And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."

1 Samuel 8:5-7 tells us that people, not Jesus Christ, choose their own leaders: "5) And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. 6) But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. 7) And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them."

Please read chapter 21 of the Book of Revelation in the Bible. After the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus will appoint His leaders and rule the nations for 1,000 years on the earth; and after that, forever.

No, Jesus does not appoint leaders on earth today.

People elect their leaders, many times through the influence of Satan, the god of this world.

2 Corinthians 4:4: “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Rarely does a nation actually have a truly born-again president leading the nation, and that is only by the will of the people, which is nearly impossible today in our immoral world.

I urge all of you to read Leviticus chapter 20, which classifies immorality and how leaders of nations are directed by God to sponsor laws and penalties to stop the immorality. They are not to support laws that allow immorality, as is being done in practically every nation today because of the anti- Christ agenda of the United Nations.

God will protect us from the attacks of other nations if our nation will follow the Lordship of Jesus Christ. If not, God will allow unrighteous leaders of nations to attack and enslave us just as He allowed unrighteous leaders to enslave Israel.

To say that God puts leaders into office today is totally unfounded in Scripture and, thus, error.
