No one can purify their own heart. No one. We can try but we will fail. We don’t have the right material to work from to develop a pure heart. We are simply flawed. We are born with a self-will which would evidently, over time, show case itself when it's challenged or even subdued.

Many claim or desire to have a pure heart, this can only be achieved when the Lord works on our innate rebellion. To think that I have decided to have a pure heart by your own effort is setting yourself up for failure.

Proverbs 17:3 "The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the LORD tests the heart."

God purifies our hearts by using external pressure. It is the tests of life that bring our selfish nature to the surface, just like silver or gold in a furnace is purified with intense heat. We find ourselves fighting the process. We want the tests to end or be lifted from us, but God uses these tests to refine us.

In the refining process, the impurities are brought to the surface and scraped off, then the process continues until the metal is pure enough to reflect an image on the surface like still water. We are reduced to a point of dependence on God to overcome whatever the intended target is for this testing.

We should all choose to allow ourselves to be melted into a trusting submission to God. After the scraping of the impurities off from us also comes healing of the wounds left in us. It is not easy but worth the work. The goal is to have a pure heart worthy to be used of God.

Let us continue to pray for ourselves to offer prayers to God from a pure heart. Strength to be an effective intercessor in this God given work. Ask the Lord on our behalf to open more doors for us to reach other nations. Pray that we get connected to the gatekeepers of those nations to be allowed access to minister to our brothers and sisters in those countries.

Pray also for the health and protection of each of the ministry’s staff. His divine protection and that we may stand against the wiles of the devil.

Dear Intercessor:

Our trips to Kenya, East Africa and Bogota, Colombia, South America were extremely successful with tremendous outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Also, we met with not only the body of Christ but with many church and political leaders.

We have had great meetings in America as well. Look on my web page under events, both local and international, to see the many locations.

We need your constant prayers for finances and additional staff including intercessors.

We are in need of finances to purchase several camera phones for ministry at home and abroad as well as finances for mission trips this year.

We still need to go to Israel, Liberia, Uganda, Tanzania, South America again and South Korea. We also are getting ready to take a 20-plus state road trip to minister.

We need your constant prayers for support and safety as well as tremendous outpourings of the Holy Spirit.

Pray blessings upon our partners and that God will send in more staff.

Blessings and thank you,

Jonathan Hansen
